Royal Decree No. 1/2023 of the 7th of January 2023 on the renaming of the Citizenship Medal to the Nationality Medal and establishing the eligibility criteria and registration process for Kaharagian Nationals

We MAXIMILIAN,
Prince of Kaharagia, etc.,

WHEREAS, We perceive the vital importance of acknowledging the long and faithful service of Kaharagian Nationals, who have contributed immensely to the glory and prosperity of the Principality of Kaharagia;

And WHEREAS, the Citizenship Medal, previously bestowed upon individuals after 10 years of dedicated service, now necessitates a transformation to the Nationality Medal to emphasize and celebrate the essence of Kaharagian Nationality;

And WHEREAS, this change shall better reflect the commitment, dedication, and contributions made through service or donation to the Principality of Kaharagia;

Now, THEREFORE, We, in Our Sovereign capacity, with profound respect for Our people’s loyalty and fidelity, do hereby decree as follows:

Article I: Renaming of the Citizenship Medal

1.1 The Citizenship Medal shall henceforth be renamed the Nationality Medal to honour the unique relationship of individuals to the Principality of Kaharagia and to emphasize Kaharagian Nationality.

Article II: Eligibility Criteria for the Nationality Medal

2.1 The Nationality Medal shall be awarded to Kaharagian Nationals after 10 years of long and faithful service or substantial donation to the Principality of Kaharagia.

2.2 Kaharagian Nationals may petition the Chancellery of the Kaharagian Honours after their 10th anniversary as a Kaharagian National, demonstrating their dedication to the building of the Principality through service or donation.

2.3 A Committee of Honor, to be established in accordance with this decree, shall be entrusted with the assessment and verification of the nominations.

Article III: Petition Process for Kaharagian Nationals

3.1 The Chancellery of the Kaharagian Honours shall be responsible for receiving and processing petitions from Kaharagian Nationals for the Nationality Medal.

3.2 The petition process shall be conducted with transparency and integrity, ensuring that all deserving individuals are recognized for their unwavering commitment to Kaharagia.

Article IV: Enactment and Enforcement

4.1 This decree shall take effect immediately upon its promulgation with our sign-manual and Great Seal of Kaharagia affixed.

4.2 All subjects of the realm, court officials, and servants of the Crown shall adhere to this decree.

4.3 The execution of this decree shall be overseen by the Secretary of the Chancellery of the Kaharagian Honours, with the petition process commencing forthwith.
