Article 8 — Embodiment of the State

1. 1.

   The Sovereign embodies the unity, continuity, dignity, and authority of the State.

2. 2.

   Sovereign authority is vested in the person of the Sovereign and is transmitted through lawful succession in accordance with the Crown.

3. 3.

   Acts performed by the Sovereign in public capacity are acts of State.

4. 4.

   The style, titles, and insignia of the Sovereign are determined by Royal House Law or by Sovereign Decree.

5. 5.

   Public oaths and affirmations shall be sworn to the Crown as provided by law.

6. 6.

   The Sovereign is Head of the Armed Forces of Kaharagia.

   1. All military authority is vested in the Sovereign, and is exercised by Him directly or through the chain of command established by law.
   2. The Sovereign holds the rank of Supreme Commander, which stands above the table of ranks of any Service of the State and to which no other person may be appointed; and in the most formal ceremonial use the Sovereign is styled Supreme Commander and Warlord.
   3. The armed forces of Kaharagia are raised, maintained, organised, and disbanded by Sovereign Decree, and are at all times subordinate to the law of the State.
   4. No armed force shall be raised or maintained in Kaharagia otherwise than by the authority of the Sovereign.
