Article 19 - Right to Marry

  1. Every person of marriageable age has the right to marry freely, without restriction as to sex, gender, race, nationality, or religion.

  2. Marriage, for the purposes of Kaharagian law, is the voluntary union of two persons, established in accordance with the requirements of this Chapter and registered with the competent authority.

  3. A marriage validly contracted under Kaharagian law creates personal status effects binding upon the spouses and recognised by all organs and authorities of the State.

  4. No person may be compelled to enter into marriage. A marriage contracted without the free and full consent of both parties is voidable in accordance with Article 22.

  5. The right to marry may be exercised by any Kaharagian national, and by any person who submits to the jurisdiction of the State in accordance with the Fundamental Laws, subject to the requirements set out in this Chapter.
