This title sets out the catalogue of non-custodial sanctions, sentencing principles, and rules on execution and extinction.


Chapter 1 — Catalogue of Sanctions

Art. 10Types of SanctionsThe following sanctions may be imposed under this Code:; No sanction imposed under this Code may amount to torture, or to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment, in accordance with Article 32(2)(b) of the Fundamental Laws.
Art. 11Sentencing PrinciplesEvery sanction imposed under this Code must be proportionate to the gravity of the offence, the degree of culpability of the offender, and the circumstances of the case.
Art. 12FinesFines imposed under this Code are denominated in United States dollars (USD).

Chapter 2 — Execution and Extinction of Sanctions

Art. 13Execution of SanctionsFines shall be payable within ninety (90) days of the judgment becoming final, or in such instalments as the competent authority may permit.
