Title VII — Legislative Authority

This title defines the forms of law, the processes of promulgation and publication, and the principles of interpretation.


Chapter 1 — Forms of Law

Art. 37Promulgation of LawLaw is promulgated by the Sovereign; No Code, Act, Sovereign Decree, or other instrument having the force of law shall take effect unless issued or assented to by the Sovereign in the form prescribed by law.
Art. 38Hierarchy of LawThese Fundamental Laws and Principles are supreme; Codes enacted under their authority govern defined areas of civil, administrative, and public order.

Chapter 2 — Promulgation and Publication

Art. 40AuthenticationActs of State shall be authenticated in the manner prescribed by law and shall bear the Great Seal or other authorised instrument of validation.
