This title establishes the constitutional framework for nationality, allegiance, protection, and civil status.
Chapter 1 — Nationality, Allegiance, and Protection

| Art. 29 | Allegiance | Nationals owe loyalty and allegiance to the Crown; Allegiance includes the duty of fidelity, obedience to lawful authority, and abstention from acts of treason, sedition, or other grave disloyalty as defined by law. |
| Art. 30 | Protection | The State extends recognition and protection to its nationals in accordance with law. |
