Article 29 - Allegiance

Nationals owe loyalty and allegiance to the Crown.

Allegiance includes the duty of fidelity, obedience to lawful authority, and abstention from acts of treason, sedition, or other grave disloyalty as defined by law.

The Sovereign may require oaths or affirmations of allegiance for the holding of public office, the receipt of honours, or other legal capacities.

Allegiance continues until nationality is lawfully lost or renounced as provided by law.

The content and enforcement of duties arising from allegiance shall be further provided by Code.
