Article 10 — Types of Sanctions

  1. The following sanctions may be imposed under this Code:
    1. Fine, denominated in United States dollars in accordance with Article 12.
    2. Public censure, consisting in the publication of the conviction in the Official Gazette.
    3. Revocation of honours, titles, or decorations conferred by the State.
    4. Revocation of licences, authorisations, or recognitions granted under Kaharagian law.
    5. Community service order, comprising digital or administrative tasks performed for the benefit of the State or the community.
    6. Temporary or permanent exclusion from State services, registers, or digital platforms.
    7. Forfeiture of instrumentalities or proceeds of the offence.
    8. Loss or suspension of specific nationality privileges, provided that no sanction shall result in the deprivation of nationality itself.
  2. No sanction imposed under this Code may amount to torture, or to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment, in accordance with Article 32(2)(b) of the Fundamental Laws.
  3. The competent authority may impose multiple sanctions concurrently for the same offence, subject to the sentencing principles set out in Article 11.
  4. Sanctions shall apply to legal persons with appropriate modifications; in particular, fines, revocation of licences and authorisations, exclusion from State services and platforms, and forfeiture may be imposed on legal persons.
