Article 47 — Performance

  1. The debtor must perform the obligation at the time, place, and in the manner stipulated by the contract.
  2. In the absence of stipulation, performance is due within a reasonable time, at the domicile of the debtor, and in the manner consistent with good faith and the nature of the obligation.
  3. The creditor is bound to accept performance that conforms to the contract. Unjustified refusal to accept conforming performance discharges the debtor from liability for delay.
  4. Where the contract does not fix a time for performance, either party may require performance upon giving reasonable notice.
