Article 34 — Commencement and Transitional Provisions
This Code enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
No offence under this Code may be charged in respect of conduct that occurred before the date of entry into force. This paragraph gives effect to the principle of non-retroactivity guaranteed by Article 35(4) of the Fundamental Laws.
Administrative sanctions and civil remedies available under other laws of the Principality, including those provided by the Data Protection Code, continue to apply according to their own terms and are not affected by this Code.
Existing obligations under the Civil Code are confirmed and not diminished by this Code, including in particular:
The registration obligations under Article 7 of the Civil Code.
The guardianship disqualifications under Article 13 of the Civil Code.
The Sovereign may, by decree, adopt further regulations for the implementation of this Code, in accordance with the powers conferred by the Fundamental Laws.
The competent authority shall publish guidance on the application of this Code within 90 days of the date of entry into force.
