Article 26 - Regency

1. Where the Sovereign is incapacitated or a minor, sovereign authority shall be exercised by a Regent in accordance with Royal House Law.

2. The Regent exercises authority in the name of the Sovereign and is bound to preserve the rights, dignity, and succession of the Crown.

3. The appointment, recognition, powers, and termination of a Regency are governed by Royal House Law; the act establishing a Regency shall be registered and, where appropriate, published.

4. Acts of the Regent performed within the Regency authority are acts of State.

5. Upon termination of the Regency, all authority reverts immediately to the Sovereign without further formality.
