Article 63 — Public Order

  1. For the purposes of this Title, the public order of Kaharagia comprises the fundamental principles of justice, the rights guaranteed by the Fundamental Laws, and the essential values of the State.
  2. The public order exception is to be applied restrictively. The mere fact that a foreign law differs from Kaharagian law does not of itself constitute a contravention of public order.
  3. Where the application of foreign law or the recognition of a foreign act or judgment is refused on grounds of public order, the Royal Chancellery shall apply Kaharagian law in its place, or take such other measures as justice requires.
