Article 21 - Motto and Anthem

The motto of the State is "Pro Deo et Patria" ("For God and Country"). The motto appears on the Coat of Arms upon a scroll Gules edged Or, bearing the words "PRO DEO ET PATRIA" in letters Or, as established by Sovereign Decree SD-2026/0001. The motto is a national symbol expressing loyalty to faith, nation, and Crown, and may be used in official and ceremonial contexts in accordance with protocol.

The national anthem of the State is "Sa Candha" ("The Song"). The anthem is a national symbol and may be performed at official and ceremonial occasions in accordance with protocol.

The authoritative text, music, translations, and authorised versions of the motto and anthem shall be determined by Sovereign Decree and recorded in the registers of State.

Where a motto or anthem is used for an official act, the authoritative version is that recorded by the competent authority; variants are permitted only as authorised.

The use of the motto and anthem in a manner likely to mislead as to official authority, authenticity, or public endorsement may be restricted or prohibited by law.

The Sovereign may by Sovereign Decree adopt, alter, or discontinue the motto or anthem.
