Article 2 — Effects of Nationality

  1. The possession of Kaharagian nationality establishes personal status under the laws of the State and entitles the national to:
    1. Recognition in civil matters recorded by the State.
    2. Eligibility for national honours and heraldic registrations.
    3. Eligibility to participate in the assemblies, consultations, and civic activities of the State.
    4. The benefit of the rights and protections that Kaharagian law confers upon nationals.
  2. Nationality carries with it the obligations prescribed by the Fundamental Laws and the laws of the State, including the duties of allegiance set forth in the Fundamental Laws.
  3. The civil effects of nationality upon personal capacity, status, and juridical acts are governed by the Civil Code.
  4. A national may exercise civic and cultural participation through any means established by the State, regardless of place of residence.
